I was born and raised in Hong Kong, and I graduated from Princeton University in 2017 with a BA in Comparative Literature. There, I wrote a book-length senior thesis on one of the first 19th century French translations of classical Chinese poetry by Judith Gautier. I am currently a third year doctoral candidate at Stanford University's department of Comparative Literature, and my current interests include 20th-21st century North African Francophone and Arabophone literature, Indochinese Francophone Literature, Postcolonial literary theory, Francophone language politics, Franco-Chinese literary relations etc. The main languages that I work with are French, Chinese and Arabic.
