The moon betwixt white and black
Like a maiden peering through a hole
Drew its lip back from the dark
As if recoiling from your lips.
וְיָרֵחַ בְּבֵין לָבָן וְשָׁחוֹר / כְּעַלְמָה נִשְׁקְפָה לָהּ מִבְּעַד חוֹר
אֲשֶׁר הוֹצִיא שְׂפָתוֹ מִתְּכֵלֶת / כְּאִלּוּ מִשְּׂפָתֵךָ שָׁב לְאָחוֹר.
